Asher Wojciechowski, Ladies and Gentlemen

Monday, Asher Wojciechowski took the bump to face off against the Round Rock Express, aka the AAA affiliate of the Dallas Rangers. Asher went on to spin one of the most efficient outings in recent Redhawk memory, tossing a one-hit, complete game shutout, striking out five, while only walking one. Woj only needed 97 pitches to do the deed, throwing 66 of those for strikes. Even more so impressive, he faced the minimum in the one-hit, one-walk gem of an outing. With Lucas Harrell leaving a hole in the rotation, Woj did his best to leave an impression in Luhnow's mind when its time for him to choose who gets the rotation nod. Asher continued his very fine 2013 campaign, dropping his yearly ERA to 2.82 in 105.1 innings of 93 strikeout, 36 walk baseball. Woj has held hitters to a very sexy .197 clip this year. Look for Asher Wojciechowski to break on through this year and see his first bit of big league time after the flurry of moves to come at the break.
