Houston Rockets Pursuing Richard Hamilton

Daryl Morey is now going after 35 year old veteran SG, Richard "Rip" Hamilton. He is an experienced player, fantastic defender, and he is automatic from the free throw line. The strategy this offseason was to fix the terrible 2nd team defense that lost the Rockets more than a hand-full of games last season. Going out and acquiring Dwight Howard, Marcus Camby , and Ronnie Brewer should help the Rockets tremendously.

Hamilton would bring much needed leadership and experience to the young Rockets team. Having a veteran like Rip Hamilton coming off the bench would pay huge dividends for the Rockets come playoff time. He's a guy that has been there before and knows how to win. Hopefully we will see "Rip" in a Rockets uniform in the near future.
