Tri-City Kicks Off the 2013 Season With A 9-3 Win




The Tri-City Valleycats played the inaugural game of the 2013 campaign today, taking a 9-3 victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters.

Offensively:
Recent draftees Tony Kemp, Conrad Gregor and Jon Kemmer had huge days. Kemp went 3-4 with 2 RBI's a double, and a stolen base. Gregor went 2-3 with an RBI in the first to start the scoring in the 1st, and Kemmer had a massive day going 4-4 with 2 RBI's, a bomb, and 2 runs scored.

Pitching:
Kevin Comer earned the W with 4.0 innings of 1 hit, 5 strikeout ball. Evan Grills pitched in 4 innings of 1 run, 3 hit, 2k ball.Edison Frias chipped in 1 inning of work getting roughed up with a line of 3 hits and 2 earned runs.


In Summary:
It's nice to see Tri-City kick off another season, this should be a fun one to watch. Recent draftees who have thus far been assigned to Tri-City include RHP Andrew Thurman, 1B Conrad Gregor, 2B Tony Kemp, CF James Ramsay, RHP Kyle Westwood, OF Jon Kemmer, SS Thomas Lindauer, RHP Patrick Christensen, LHP Randall Fant, RHP Zach Morton, OF Ronnie Mitchell, and LHP Albert Minnis. Other notables already in the system on the ValleyCat roster include Kevin Comer, Tanner Bushue, Adrian Houser, Chia-Jen Lo, Chan Moon, and D'Andre Toney.
