In Summary:  It's very encouraging to see that the majority of pitchers here are holding BB/9's of under 2. Especially Buchanan with an abysmal BB/9 of .8. Its no wonder he's having the recent success that he is. It's also encouraging to see McCullers and Folty dominate their respective levels, and hopefully their walk rates progress as season continues. It's also phenomenal to see Correa excelling in full season A ball at only 18 years of age. I wondered before the start of the year if he would see time in extended spring training, or start the year in short season Tri-City as to avoid a full season at Quad Cities, but the Astros threw him in the deep and he's responded by grabbing full season by the balls. I wonder if we'll see Rodgers spend a full year at Lancaster, or if he'll get the Folty treatment and be shipped off to Corpus soon. I'd prefer sooner rather than later to avoid a full year of the frustration that is the Cal league. Meanwhile, over in Corpus, Santana and Springer continue to develop rather nicely. Although their K rates remain a touch on the high side, they continue to post more than adequate walk rates to offset the strikeouts, putting their OBP in a very desirable range. Last but not least, Tucker is raking! Lancaster skewed numbers be damned, the kid can hit. Hopefully he continues to progress and fasttracks his way to Houston. I believe the kid is the real deal, and by real deal I mean a sexy little .260-.275 20-25 homerun ceiling. Go 'Stros!
