One hell of a list of minor league talent the Astros organization boasts. A system that is ranked number one overall by several reputable sources. The balance within with system is wondrous, and the pitching talent and depth goes on for days. In comparison to our previous top 20 released in July, the top seven or so prospects are in roughly the same location, where as 8-20 saw a healthy amount of rearrangement. The years Correa and Springer had firmly entrenched them at the one and two slots, and if not for the young shortstops ceiling resembling that of the Sistine chapel, GSP would've easily taken the one slot.  I believe Andrew Thurman will justify our ranking as reports of increased and sustained velocity are encouraging to go along with his plus command of the fastball and secondary offerings. I believe Aaron West will jump on some radars this year and garner a bit of attention. The Husky product threw very well in a heavy hitters environment and his peripherals read far better than his ERA and face value numbers. It would be phenomenal to see LMJ and Folty continue to take a step in the right direction in reference to their walk rates, and if they can do so they'll be flirting with uber prospect status. Of the players listed those which I believe have a shot at wearing orange this coming season include George Springer obviously, Jon Singleton, Max Stassi, and Asher Wojciechowski, with Folty, Preston Tucker, Nick Tropeano, and Mark Appel as outside shots come September. The talent is assembled, and the developmental staff is in order, it's only a matter of time before the Houston Astros reign down an ungodly fire storm upon the aging AL West and the remainder of the American League for decades to come. The Astros will inflict carnage that would make Les Grossman blush. The kids are coming, they're coming soon, and they're coming in hot!

Honorable Mention: Teoscar Hernandez - OF, Kyle Smith - RHP, Danry Vasquez - OF, David Rollins - LHP, Andrew Aplin - OF, Leo Heras - OF, Tyler Heineman - C.

  1. Funny that Danry was the Tigers 4th best prospect but can't break our top 20.
