And So The Jarred Cosart Era Begins





Wednesday night, news broke that the Astros would be giving Jarred Cosart the call from OKC to start Friday against David Price and the Rays in Tropicana. The start will be Cosart's first taste of big league ball. He was informed that he was getting his ticket to the show Wednesday in the Redhawk dugout by manager Tony D. Cosart admitted that he cried upon hearing the good news. Can you blame him? I'd question a man who wasn't consumed and overwhelmed with elation at news like that.

Jarred Cosart signals the beginning of the end of the first stages of the rebuild. The Calvary has finally arrived, backup has come in hot. Cosart marks the first bit of the Hunter Pence trade to come to fruition and reach the major league level, with Josh Zeid and Jonathon Singleton banging on the door at AAA, and Domingo Santana fairing respectively well for a 20 year old in AA ball.
